By transit, Oshawa GO station is a short ride away and Durham Region Transit stops near Midtown Mall. Arrive at least 30 minutes early with both parts of your licence and your booking confirmation. Remember DriveTest’s 48-hour cancellation rule — cancel late and you lose your test fee.
Tips for the Oshawa Test Centre
1. Expect a mix of residential and arterial roads
Routes commonly use the streets around John Street and Gibb Street — practice unprotected left turns and mid-block pedestrian awareness.
2. Watch your speed on wide roads
Oshawa’s wide arterials make 60 km/h feel slow — creeping over the limit is one of the most common fail reasons here.
3. Practice roadside stops
Examiners look for signal, mirror, shoulder check, and proper parallel positioning to the curb.
4. Cancel or reschedule 48 hours ahead
Otherwise you lose your DriveTest fee.
